So subtle and so counterintuitive at times. One would think to push away with the legs to strengthen the choke but instead it is to bring in with the legs. I can now see that winds up the choke when bringing in the opponent. Changing the angle of the choking forearm due to the brace the opponents arm is placing on the choking arm.
